Job Description: System Administrator
The System Administrator is responsible for managing and maintaining the company’s IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, and other computer systems. This role requires expertise in configuring and maintaining servers, troubleshooting hardware and software issues, ensuring the security of systems, and providing technical support to staff. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of system administration principles and be able to work in a fast-paced IT environment to support business operations.
Key Responsibilities
- System Management: Install, configure, and maintain servers, networks, and other IT systems to ensure optimal performance and security.
- Network Administration: Monitor and manage the company’s network infrastructure, ensuring secure and stable connections for all devices.
- Server Maintenance: Perform regular maintenance tasks on servers, such as applying updates, backups, and ensuring system reliability.
- Technical Support: Provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance to end-users, helping to resolve system issues promptly.
- Security Management: Implement and monitor system security measures, including firewalls, antivirus software, and system updates to protect against external threats.
- Backup and Recovery: Ensure that regular backups are performed and maintain disaster recovery plans to safeguard critical data.
- Performance Monitoring: Monitor system performance and resource utilization to optimize server and network operations.
- Documentation: Maintain detailed documentation of system configurations, processes, and procedures to ensure that team members can follow standardized methods.

Skills Required
- System Administration Expertise: Strong experience in managing Linux/Windows server environments, including installation, configuration, and troubleshooting.
- Network Management: Knowledge of networking protocols and concepts, such as TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and VPNs, along with experience in configuring and maintaining routers, firewalls, and switches.
- Security Best Practices: Experience in applying security measures such as encryption, firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and secure system configurations.
- Virtualization: Familiarity with virtualization technologies like VMware, Hyper-V, or other related platforms.
- Cloud Technologies: Understanding of cloud-based infrastructure and platforms, including AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.

Requirements

- Location: The role is based in Hyderabad. Candidates should be local or willing to relocate.

Job Types and Compensation
- Salary: ₹50,000.00 - ₹80,000.00 per month, depending on experience and skills.
- Work Schedule: Full-time, Monday to Friday. Occasional on-call duties may be required for system emergencies.
