Chicken Tikka Masala

Ingredients:
- 500g boneless chicken, cut into bite-sized pieces
- 1 cup plain yogurt
- 2 tablespoons lemon juice
- 2 tablespoons ginger-garlic paste
- 1 teaspoon ground cumin
- 1 teaspoon ground coriander
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder
- 1/2 teaspoon garam masala
- Salt to taste
- 2 tablespoons oil
- 1 onion, finely chopped
- 2 tomatoes, pureed
- 1/4 cup tomato paste
- 1 cup heavy cream
- Fresh coriander leaves for garnish
Instructions:
- In a bowl, combine yogurt, lemon juice, ginger-garlic paste, ground cumin, ground coriander, paprika, turmeric powder, garam masala, and salt. Add chicken pieces and marinate for at least 1 hour, preferably overnight.
- Heat oil in a pan over medium heat. Add chopped onions and sauté until golden brown.
- Add tomato puree and tomato paste. Cook until the oil starts to separate from the masala.
- Add marinated chicken pieces to the pan. Cook until the chicken is tender and cooked through.
- Stir in heavy cream and simmer for 5-7 minutes until the sauce thickens.
- Garnish with fresh coriander leaves and serve hot with rice or naan.
