Millefeuille with Strawberries Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 1 sheet puff pastry, thawed
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 2 tablespoons powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup fresh strawberries, sliced
  • Additional powdered sugar for dusting

Instructions:

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Roll out the puff pastry sheet on a lightly floured surface into a rectangle about 1/4 inch thick.
  3. Using a sharp knife, cut the pastry into three equal-sized rectangles. Prick each rectangle several times with a fork to prevent puffing.
  4. Transfer the pastry rectangles to the prepared baking sheet and bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, or until golden brown and puffed up.
  5. Remove from the oven and let cool completely on a wire rack.
  6. In a mixing bowl, whip the heavy cream with powdered sugar and vanilla extract until stiff peaks form.
  7. To assemble, place one puff pastry rectangle on a serving plate. Spread a layer of whipped cream over the pastry, then arrange a layer of sliced strawberries on top.
  8. Repeat with another layer of pastry, whipped cream, and strawberries. Top with the third pastry rectangle.
  9. Dust the top of the millefeuille with powdered sugar.
  10. Chill in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes before serving to allow the flavors to meld.
  11. Slice and serve the millefeuille with strawberries, and enjoy!
