Millefeuille with Strawberries Recipe
Ingredients:
- 1 sheet puff pastry, thawed
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 2 tablespoons powdered sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup fresh strawberries, sliced
- Additional powdered sugar for dusting
Instructions:
- Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Roll out the puff pastry sheet on a lightly floured surface into a rectangle about 1/4 inch thick.
- Using a sharp knife, cut the pastry into three equal-sized rectangles. Prick each rectangle several times with a fork to prevent puffing.
- Transfer the pastry rectangles to the prepared baking sheet and bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, or until golden brown and puffed up.
- Remove from the oven and let cool completely on a wire rack.
- In a mixing bowl, whip the heavy cream with powdered sugar and vanilla extract until stiff peaks form.
- To assemble, place one puff pastry rectangle on a serving plate. Spread a layer of whipped cream over the pastry, then arrange a layer of sliced strawberries on top.
- Repeat with another layer of pastry, whipped cream, and strawberries. Top with the third pastry rectangle.
- Dust the top of the millefeuille with powdered sugar.
- Chill in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes before serving to allow the flavors to meld.
- Slice and serve the millefeuille with strawberries, and enjoy!
