Chicken Nuggets with Lettuce and Sauce
These homemade crispy chicken nuggets served with fresh lettuce and your favorite sauce are a perfect combination for a quick snack or a tasty meal.
Ingredients
- 500g boneless chicken breast, cut into bite-sized pieces
- 1 cup breadcrumbs
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 egg, beaten
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp paprika
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- Fresh lettuce leaves (for serving)
- Your choice of dipping sauce (ranch, ketchup, or BBQ sauce)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 200°C (400°F). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper for easy cleanup.
- In a shallow bowl, combine the flour, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper.
- Dip each chicken piece first into the flour mixture, then into the beaten egg, and finally coat it with breadcrumbs. Press the breadcrumbs gently to make sure the chicken is well-coated.
- Place the coated chicken nuggets on the prepared baking sheet and drizzle them with olive oil for extra crispiness.
- Bake the chicken nuggets for 15-20 minutes, flipping halfway through, until golden brown and crispy on the outside and cooked through inside.
- While the nuggets are baking, arrange the lettuce leaves on a serving plate.
- Once the chicken nuggets are done, serve them hot on top of the fresh lettuce, and add your favorite dipping sauce on the side.
