Spicy Minced Chicken - Quick and Flavorful Recipe

This spicy minced chicken recipe is packed with flavor and makes for a perfect quick meal. Enjoy it with rice, flatbread, or in wraps!

Ingredients

  • 500g minced chicken
  • 1 onion, finely chopped
  • 2 tomatoes, chopped
  • 2 tbsp ginger-garlic paste
  • 2 green chilies, chopped (adjust to taste)
  • 1 tbsp red chili powder
  • 1 tsp turmeric powder
  • 1 tsp garam masala powder
  • 1 tbsp coriander powder
  • Salt to taste
  • 2 tbsp oil (vegetable or olive oil)
  • Fresh coriander leaves for garnish

Instructions

  1. Heat oil in a large pan over medium heat. Add the chopped onions and sauté until golden brown.
  2. Once the onions are browned, add the ginger-garlic paste and green chilies. Sauté for another 2 minutes until fragrant.
  3. Add the chopped tomatoes to the pan and cook until they become soft and the oil begins to separate from the mixture.
  4. Now, add the red chili powder, turmeric powder, garam masala, and coriander powder. Stir well and cook for a minute to allow the spices to release their flavors.
  5. Next, add the minced chicken to the pan. Break up the chicken with a spoon and mix it well with the spices.
  6. Cook the chicken for about 10-12 minutes, stirring occasionally, until it's cooked through and no longer pink.
  7. Check for seasoning and add salt to taste. You can adjust the spice level by adding more chili powder if desired.
  8. Once cooked, garnish the spicy minced chicken with fresh coriander leaves and serve hot with rice, bread, or wraps.

Tips for the Best Spicy Minced Chicken

  • If you prefer a more tangy taste, squeeze some lemon juice over the chicken before serving.
  • Serve this spicy minced chicken with a side of raita (yogurt with cucumber) to balance out the heat.
  • For added crunch, you can sprinkle some toasted nuts like almonds or cashews on top before serving.
  • This recipe is versatile! You can stuff it in a pita bread or tortilla for a delicious wrap.
