Well! You are in the right place at the right time. Remember expressing one’s self through art is never too early or never too late. So, irrespective of what your age is, you can learn mobile painting if you are really interested.
So, on the onset, let me tell you that all the drawing apps on Android or IOS have similar features with minor variations. Don’t think just because I am working on TAYASUI SKETCHES, you must also be working on this app. You can also try it out in your smart phone with various drawing apps like Tayasui Sketches that are currently available in Playstore.
We can do best light paintings on our mobile. However, it is a slightly different from tablet and other digital screen devices. So, you must learn how to adapt to the small screen by starting with small objects like drawing lines, apple, leaf, boat, etc. Then, you can gradually move towards figurative art. This gradual transition will be made easier if you Practice Daily!
Once you have hands-on experience on the App, you can experiment with the various tools that are available in the App. However, below are my recommendations on the tools along with their use:
1) Zero size pencil, brush and pen tool for quality details.
2) Flat brushes to save time while drawing objects like sky, hair, etc.
3) Options like alpha, opaque, transparent and darken are the best.
4) Stage zoom in and zoom out is must.
5) Finally, the eraser tool, forward and undo options are extremely useful.
Once you install one of these apps, you can start exploring things like:
1. How to do basic drawings like simple horizontal and vertical straight lines.
2. Understand tools that are available on the app like brushes, pen/pencil, eraser, zoom in/out features, shades, layers, etc.
Then, you can start drawing simple objects like fruit, leaf, boat, car or building. You can try adding different shades, colours. You can then keep experimenting because the sky is the limit for imagination.
Word of Caution: Mobile painting is not as easy as it seems. You may face a lot of disappointment. But, DON’T GIVE UP, KEEP PRACTICING.
Trust me you can create wonders!
